He was born and reared on the Bear farm near Hopewell and owned the farm until his death. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and for the past thirty years had been a deacon in the church. He is the last survivor of his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Miss Mary E., and Miss Anna V., both at home.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon, meeting at the home at 2 o'clock and services at 3 o'clock at the Dunkard Church at Broadfording. The services will be conducted by The Rev. Cademus Hick and the Rev. David R. Petre. Interment in the cemetery adjoining the Church.
