Malcolm Starr Poston, son of Adam and Ada Starr, was born in East Township near Villisca, Iowa on September 9, 1902, and passed away at the Clarinda Municipal hospital, after a lengthy illness on October 7, 1964, at the age of 62 years.
He grew to manhood while living, at the place of his birth, and attended Villisca High School. On December 19, 1929, he was united in marriage to Florence Cooney at the the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cooney. They farmed on the home place, southeast of Villisca, until 1944, when they purchased their present farm. In 1953 they built a new farm home.
Malcolm was a devout member of the Villisca Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; his son Paul and his wife, Ruth of Elmo, Missouri; and son Roger, at home; one brother, Max of Yuma, Arizonia; one sister, Mrs. Florence Poston Gilbert of Sidney, Iowa.
