Leon Victor Lagasse, 57, of 11 Rocky Hill Drive, Nashua, NH., a WW II Army veteran and a Telegraph compositor for the past 28 years, died Saturday, after a brief illness.
Leon was born in Nashua, June 9,1920, the son of the late Victor and Alice(Beauregard) Lagasse.

Educated in the local schools, he was a member of the Nashua Fish & Game Association, National Rifle Association, International Typographical Union and Catholic War Veterans Post #1406. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rita (Boucher)Lagasse; one son, Leon V.Lagasse,Jr.;two daughters, Mrs. Richard(Diane)Gagnon and Mrs.Charles(Rena)Burnett; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Norman(Claire)Blais and Mrs. Jean(Camille) Desclos, all of Nashua; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Anctil Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, with Rev. John Sullivan, pastor, as the celebrant.
Serving as an honor guard were members of the Nashua Police Dept. headed by Chief Craig D. Sandler, also a delegation representing the Nashua Telegraph. The bearers were Glen Gagnon, Raymond Gagnon,Jr., Daniel Blais, Robert Blais, Robert Tucker and Alfred Lajoie. Burial was in the family lot in St Louis de Gonzague Cemetery. The American flag draping the casket was folded and presented to the son of the deceased, Leon V. Lagasse,Jr., by Sylvio Rochestte.
