Ran Carroll, 75, of Route 1, Grayson, died Wednesday morning in University Hospital at Columbus, Ohio, following a long illness.
Mr. Carroll was born Sept. 24, 1910, in Carter County, a son of the late Scott
and Maggie Swint Carroll. He was the widower of Myrtle Elliott Carroll.
He was a member of the Grayson Freewill Baptist Church and a retired groundman
for Grayson Rural Electric Cooperative Corp. for 23 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Darlene Meade and Verna Carper, both of Marion, Ohio, and
Carmaleta Carroll of Marengo, Ohio; four sons, Willard Carroll of Rush, Harold
Carroll of Mount Gilead, Ohio, Curtis Carroll of Ashland and Linvel Carroll,
at home; two sisters, Lacy Easterling of Pontiac, Mich., and Ethel Bond of
Jewell, Ky.; four brothers, Mason Carroll and Phillip Carroll, both of
Grayson, Edgar Carroll of Rush and Lawrence Carroll of Hitchins; 11
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Grayson Freewill Baptist Church by Johnny Little. Burial will be in Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
