1891 at Christ Lutheran Church Parsonage
in York, Pa. They were the parents of Jay,
Margie, Anna Kate & Florence May Fisher.
A few years after Jennie May died, Edwin
married Nora Oberlander, their children
were Gertrude, Walter, Cora, Grace and
Gordon.
OBITUARY
EDWIN H. (SHAD) FISHER, of 955 Prospect
Street,husband of the late Nora Fisher,
died yesterday at Pleasant Acres Hospital.
He was 91. Surviving are eight children,
Jay Fisher, Jefferson, Iowa, Mrs. Harry
Alwine and Mrs. Florence Arnsberger, both
of 1915 West Market Street; Walter O.
Fisher,Maryland; Mrs. Cora Smith, 313 North
Penn Street; Mrs. Grace Grim, 907 East
Philadelphia Street; Gordon H. Fisher,
Montoursville; Mrs. Gertrude Miller,
1300 West Philadelphia Street; 14 grand-
children, 13 great-grandchildren, and a
sister, Mrs. Mamie Beck, Washington, D.C.
Fisher was a charter member of the York
Symphony Orchestra. He belonged to the
Twelfth Ward Republican Club, the Old-Timers
of the Spring Garden Band, and York Lodge
148,Loyal Order of Moose. He was a retired
groundskeeper for the Eagle Park ball diamond.
The Rev. Oliver Hartman, retired minister of
Emmanuel United Church of Christ, will
officiate at funeral services at 10:20 a.m.
Friday at the Sleeger Funeral Home, 822 East
Market Street. Burial will be in Kreutz Creek
Cemetery.
