Lucille Yvonne Tidball, 73, of Pierre, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Scotty Phillip Cemetery in Fort Pierre.
Lucille was born Sept. 30, 1936 to Otto Francis Lofgren and Hazel Marie (Bown) Lofgren in McIntosh. She married Darrell Rook from Lemmon on 1954 after she graduated from McIntosh High School. They had two daughters, Laurie Tidball (German Turriago) of Greeley, Colo., and Cindy (Bob) Mercer of Windsor, Colo. Darrell passed away in 1961.
In 1962, Lucille married Keith Tidball of Keldron. They lived at Elk Point while Keith was a law student of the University of South Dakota at Vermillion. When Keith graduated from law school, they moved to Pierre. They had six children: Tammy (Scott) Salzer of Eden; Ann Fanning of Greeley, Colo.; Brenda (Damon) Zeltinger of Pierre; Tara (Nathan) Lopez of Windsor, Colo.; Tom Tidball of Trenton, N.J.; and Bro. Ryan Tidball, OFM Capuchin of Denver, Colo.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Otto Francis and Hazel; three brothers, Merle, Harry and Lloyd; husbands Darrell and Keith; daughter Cindy. She is survived by sister Edna Maher and brother Myron Lofgren.
She was the beloved grandmother of: Jessica Mercer, Stacy Mercer, James Mercer, Sara Cunningham, Kory Cunningham, Nanci Cunningham, Brant Cason, Courtney Whitney, Kristin Salzer, Will Damon, Cole Fanning, Neil Fanning, Marie Yvonne Fanning, Danielle Fanning, Samantha Zeltinger, Chelsea Gunsalus and Natalie Lucille Lopez. Her great-grandchildren are: Reeve and Preston Damon, Chandler and Claire Cason, Olivia Whitney, Brylie Bestgen-Fanning, Alexia Cunningham-Baca and Eva Cunningham.
