Patricia Ann Scherffius, 85, of Pensacola, died Saturday, July 16, 2011. Pat was a member of Heights Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of East Pensacola Heights and a 1944 graduate of Pensacola High School. Upon graduation, she started working with Fisher-Brown Insurance Company and continued with the company for 52 years before retiring in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew M. and Dora Presley Scherffius; two brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, with Pastor Bryan Nott officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be from 9:30 a.m. until services begin. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Cemetery.
To honor Pat's memory, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Pensacola, 5 North "Q" Street, Pensacola, FL 32505.
