A native of Norfolk County, Brickhouse lived most of his life in Portsmouth. He was the son of Benjamin Franklin and Mrs. Queen V. Simmons Brickhouse and was employed as a dairyman.
He is survived by one nephew, Delbert T. Brickhouse, of Portsmouth and by a brother, James Brickhouse of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home. The Rev. U.G. Robertson will conduct the services.
Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park in Norfolk.
