Earl J. ALLISON, 80, of Springfield, passed away Sunday morning, March 22, 1998 in St. John's Center. He was born in Fayette County, Ohio, on August 27, 1917, the son of Ray and Eunice (BURRIS) ALLISON. Earl was a teacher of the Springfield city Schools and a pharmacist. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Merieum J. ALLISON; a son, Walter E. ALISON and his wife, Sharon; four grandchildren, Melissa TILFORD, Jennifer CARMAZZI, Lynn GRAWBASKI, all of California, Jon W. ALLISON of Urbana; nine-great grandchildren; two step=granddaughters, Heather SANDERS and SHAWNA GOTTHARDT; and two step=great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne; and a son, Joseph A. ALLISON. His wishes were made and carried out that his body be donated to Ohio State University for medical research. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Foundation. Arrangement are by Jackson Lytle & Ingling Williams Funeral Home, North Limestone chapel
