WW1 Veteran; Corporal, Co. C, 314th Infantry, 79th Division, A.E.F.; wounded slightly.

Charles (also known as "Seskla") immigrated to the U.S. on February 18, 1900, along with his mother, Fransiska, and brother, Peter Frank Dopko, aboard the S.S. Phoenicia. His father immigrated in 1896, apparently in an effort to raise money to bring the rest of the family across. Entry point to the U.S. was Ellis Island.

1930 Census - Occupation: watchmaker; residing with Step-father and mother, and son, Bernard, at 806 Moosic Road, Old Forge, Lackawanna County, Pa.

1944 - Residing at 418 Moosic Road, Old Forge, Pa.
