Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. Served as Corporal in Company K, 11th Vermont Volunteer Infantry (aka 1st Artillery, 11th Vermont Volunteers). He was awarded the CMOH at the break-out at Petersburg on April 2, 1865, His citation reads simply "Capture of a flag." His medal was issued on April 24, 1865. He was born in Parishville, New York, and died near Cancon, Wisconsin.
