Obituary of Rev. Russell B. Bradford

Rev. Russell B. Bradford, 79, of Gulfport went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 16, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle L. Bradford; brothers, James, Earl, Donald Ray, and Dewey Edward Bradford; sister, Martha Lee Winters; and grandson, Jimmy Russell Roberds.

He is survived by his children, Tommie L. Levine (Karl), Robert W. Bradford (Janey), Evelyn Kendrick (Jim), and Genia K. Humphrey (Lewis); sisters, Jolene Kitchen and Alice Faye Dingee; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rev. Bradford has pastored at Riverside Baptist, Fort Bayou Baptist, First Baptist of McHenry; Woolmarket Baptist, and in London, Kentucky.

He served in the United States Air Force, and he was a fireman for the Gulfport Fire Department. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
