Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Haskin Hanchett, 85, of 2281 Kiesel died this morning in a local nursing home after an extended illness. (she was 87-SHG)
She was born Aug. 25, 1885, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of William and Alice Haskin.
On April 21, 1904, she married Floyd A. Shively. He died May 6, 1929. On June 30, 1930, she married John E. Hanchett in Omaha, Neb. He died Oct. 4, 1950. (Alice's birth date, Floyd's death date are both wrong, as is the 1904 marriage - Floyd died May 16, 1930 - SHG)
She was reared and educated in Chicago and later lived in Gooding, Idaho, Ogden and Salt Lake City, returning to Ogden in 1955.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Lawn Chapter No. 527, of Illinois.
Surviving are two sons and two step-daughters, Arthur F Shively of Layton, Allan R. Shively of Hawthorne, Calif., Mrs William (Marion) Falby of El Paso, Tex., and Mrs. Henry (Louise) Thomas of Salt Lake City; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced by Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel.
