Do NOT change Laura's death date to 24 January 1895. We do know that it was some time AFTER that, but so far, no record has been found to indicate how much longer she lived. The "Marlow Magnet" reported on Jan. 10, 1895, that "Mrs. Dennis and ... are sick." Two weeks later the paper stated, "Mrs. S. L. Dennis is recovering slowly." Abstracts printed in "Footsteps", Jan 1991, Vol. 6, No. 1, the Stephens County Genealogical Society's publication. Unfortunately, someone carelessly changed Laura's death date with no evidence whatsoever, and others have copied that incorrect date.

Gravesite Details
I have been told by other descendants that there is no marker for her, but that Laura Jackson Dennis is buried in this cemetery.
