Johan Michael Habbes/Hoppes married Catherine Harr.

Please note Michael Hoppes did not have a daughter Maria Salome. Michael’s daughter married to Michael Kistler is Mary Magdalena b1785 d1852 (memorial #10511209) married to Michael Kistler b1782 d1867 (memorial #10511208).



He donated the 100 acres of land that the Church and Cemetery sit on. He assisted the erection of the first log church. He lived to be 80yr 6mo and 18d. The grave is about 8 rows back froom the front of the cemetery and the first row from the right side. His wife Catherine is beside him. Their son Michael and Wife Christina are also there and a few rows further back from the front. It is on a beautiful hillside and many Hoppes, Zehner and Kistler people are buried there
