Frisbe Payson, who has been suffering for months with consumption, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 5th. He was a very ambitious young man, and, although crippled in body, still did more with his brain and hands than many men who have full use of their limbs. For several years previous to his illness he had spent his time learning telegraphy, and had just secured a position when he was taken sick with a cold, which resulted in his death. During the past two years he has, with the help of his brother, worked up a good coal business, having an agent here, one at Smithboro, and also one at River Valley, his home. His funeral took place from his late residence, Horace Lounsbury's, Wednesday noon.
