Mabel Lucille Lyson was born Oct. 19, 1912 in
Slayton, Minn., the daughter of Peder and Amy (Erickson) Bosen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Mable graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1930. After her graduation she worked in Minneapolis.
Mabel and Clifford Bjork were married on July 20, 1934, in Battle Lake. They lived in Battle Lake where Mabel did housekeeping for many different homes. She also worked for the Deutsch Poultry Farm. Mabel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and then First Lutheran Church of Battle Lake. She enjoyed sewing. Mabel made Barbie Doll clothes, braided many rugs and loved her flowers. In
high school she played on the girls basketball team.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Gunderson of Fergus Falls; one son, Tony (Sharon) Bjork of Battle Lake; four grandchildren: Jeffrey (Sherri) Gunderson of Carlos, Kim (Cody) Speaker of Timnath, Colo., Julie (Brian) Greene of Underwood and Tanya (Scott Tyre) Bjork of Madison, Wis.; six greatgrandchildren; one sister, Polly Kube of Elbow Lake; one brother, Paul (Lucille) Bosen of Henning; and numerous relatives and friends.
Mabel was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Enfield and Stella Knutson; four brothers: Harold, Lawrence, Fritz and William Bosen.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service
Memorial service: 11 am, Thursday, June 2, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Battle Lake
