Born August 25, 1934, in Delroy, York County, he was the son of the late Chester and Alvera (Keller) Cooper.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Cooper is survived by three children, Tara E. Cooper of Red Lion, Todd B. Cooper of York, and Tamara L. Cooper of Ayden, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia A. Cooper of Red Lion; two stepchildren, Randy R. Kauffman and his wife, Beth of Mont Clare, and Ron R. Kauffman and his wife, Linda, of Dallastown; six grandchildren, Nicole J. Cooper of Middletown, Megan D. Farling of Camp Hill, Colin C. Kauffman of Mont Clare, Kerry L. Kauffman of Mont Clare, Emily R. Kauffman of Dallastown, and Zachary Kauffman of Dallastown; and a brother, Robert Cooper and his wife, Linda of East Prospect. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Abel.
Mr. Cooper was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union for over 30 years prior to his retirement from Consolidated Freightways on August 22, 1996. He enjoyed his travel trailer and camped until his illness made it impossible.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
