Jesse Franklin DeLozier was born In East Tennessee. His parent were Jesse Jones DeLozier Jr. and Sarah Ann Cox, both of Tennessee. Jesse moved to Arkansa with his mother in 1872 after his Father was cilled in an Ambush coming home from the civil war. They homesteaded in Elm Springs, AR. on some farm property. Jesse Franklin and his brothher Robert William each got one section of the land (120 acres) adjacent to each other.One January 19, 1881 Jesse married Sarah Ann McCoy of East Tn.
They had eight children as follows:
Garland, born November 1881 - died 1938(Calif.)
Cora, born Feruary 1884 - died 1969
Lena, (died in infancy) March 1886-June 1887
Ava, born February. 1888 - died 1971
Susan,(died in infancy) March 4, 1890-July 1891
John William (Bill), born October 28, 1892 died June 10, 1972
Ollie, born 1894-died 1963
Winnie, born January 27, 1897 - died 1977
