Bryan Allen Funderberg, age 35, died July 13, 2011 at his home. He was born August 31, 1975 in Princeton, IL to Wanda and the now late Barry Funderberg. He was a loving son, husband and father. "Daddy, know you are still with us. You're the sunshine in our hair, the shadow on the ground, the whisper in the wind, the rhythm in our hearts, the blood that runs through our veins. We loved you so much. You're here even when we're apart. You are loved forever."
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Tina Funderberg, two children, Jessie and Branson Funderberg; two sisters, Natasha Funderberg and Christy Phipps; four nieces, Autumn Moore, Ta'Niya Jordan and Maddison Johnson all of Greeneville and Shayla Funderberg of Illinois; one nephew, Austin Funderberg of Illinois ; three aunts, Mary Highfield, Drucilla Long and Sharon Wade; five uncles, Lenard Hicks, Jr., Jacky Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, Johnny Hicks and Daniel Hicks; several cousins, including three special cousins, Aaron Wade, Karen Powers and Carey McMahan; and special friends, Lance Laws and Pete Lollar.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffrey and Michael Funderberg and his grandparents, Pauline Funderberg, and Lenard and Ruth Hicks.
There will be no formal visitation. A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 16th, 2011 at Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Danny Ricker will officiate and Jane Hawk will sing. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
Active pallbearers will be Aaron Wade, Lance Laws, Lenard Hicks, Jr., Carey McMahan, William Luttrell, Riley Adams and Christopher Willett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jacky Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, Johnny Hicks and James McMahan.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
