Clarence served in the U S Army during WWII in the pacific. In 1952 he married Ida Quale and they had four children; Elizabeth, John, William and Clarence D.
Clarence returned home after WWII and worked in real estate. He was employed by Hamiline Twin City Realty for a time, using the same desk that his father once used while selling real estate. He bought Cherokee Realty Co. 633 Smith Ave S. in West St. Paul where he sold properties in West St. Paul, and Dakota county.
Clarence died of heart attack and was buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota.
