Mrs. B.J. Jarratt, sister of Mrs. H.C. Moseley of Athens, died suddenly in Goose Creek Friday afternoon.
The funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. at the Gallatin Methodist Church, with the Rev. L.G. Stokes and the Rev. Harper of Gallatin officiating. Interment was in the Jarratt Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.T. Jones, Lewis Jones, Sam Hicks, Hugh Fling, Homer Jenkins and Cecil Thompson.
Mrs. Jarratt, who had resided near Jacksonville all of her life and was a member of the Gallatin Methodist Church died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.M. Major.
Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Major, are two sons, Clyde Jarrett of Gallatin and James Jarratt of Wichita Falls, husband of the former Miss Ernestine Kimbrough of Athens; four brothers, Dan Deerman of Houston, C.W. Deerman of Palestine, Allan Deerman of Bay City and Ollie Deerman of Gallatin; five sisters, Mrs. G.W. Norwood of Humble, Mrs. H.C. Moseley of Athens, Mrs. C.E. Price and Mrs. R.B. Pickron of Jacksonville, and Mrs. J.E. Herrington of Gallatin; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
