Mrs Emma Owen Lawrence, 79, an Oklahoma City resident the past 49 years, died Thursday afternoon at Robertson Convalescent Hospital. She made her home with a son, Martin Lawrence, 3316 NW 22. Services are to be at 10:30 am Saturday in Smith & Kernke chapel with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs Lawrence born Oct 26, 1870 at Nashville, TN, moved to Oklahoma City in 1901. She was a charter member of Olivet Baptist Church. Her husband, W. T., died here in 1929. He was a contractor.
Survivors include another son, L. T. Lawrence, Britton; three daughters, Mrs Ruth King, Seminole; Mrs Josephine Lawrence, 2010 N. McKinley; and Mrs E. M. Reuck, 3233 NW 28; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
