"GRANDMA" MAYBEE CALLED UP HIGHER
At ripe old age of four score and two years
CLOSE OF USEFUL LIFE
Funeral services at home on Sunday morning
Mrs. Robert Maybee, known familiarly and affectionately as "Grandma" Maybee, died at her home at Alquina yesterday morning at about six o'clock. She had a complication of diseases, but her great age, 82 years, was the principal cause of her demise. Her funeral will occur at her home at 9:30 o'clock a.m. Sunday. Burial at Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mrs. Maybee was one of the oldest pioneer residents of the county. She was born in Columbia Township and has lived in Fayette County all her life. She was a noble Christian woman, and enjoyed the esteem and respect of all. She leaves four children to mourn their loss: Arbanus, who lives at the home; Mrs. [Frances] Darter living in the west, and George and Ed Maybee, residents of this county.
