James M. Hawk, 92, of the McDonald community, Mohawk, died Thursday morning at Takoma Regional Hospital.
Mr. Hawk was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Parrottsville.
He was a retired farmer and had worked for 55 years during the tobacco season at Planter's Warehouse.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Leona Hawk; one son and daughter-in-law: James Carol and Evelyn Hawk of Mohawk; one granddaughter: Melody Hawk of Mohawk; one grandson and his wife: Cameron and Amy Hawk of Mohawk; three great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandson: Wendy Hawk, Kerri Hawk, Ethan Hawk, and Isaac Bolling all of Mohawk; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Stella Mae Hawk; one brother: Grady Hawk; and two sisters: Ada Holt and Willie Ethel Easterly.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Owen Freeman will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 to go in procession the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be June Hawk, Roger Hawk, Joel Hawk, Dale Luttrell, and Larry Greenlee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Charles Easterly, Jackie Easterly, and Johnny Powers.
