Elizabeth Leffler was married twice. First to Benjamin W. Grove in Oct 1819 Fairfield Co., second to Abraham 'Red Abe' Beery on Oct 11, 1849 Fairfield Co.OH. She is buried with 'Red Abe' in the old Beery Cemetery/family Burial ground that is now located inside the Hide Away Hills private community. That teeny cemetery is really just a family burial plot as it is actually in! someone 's back yard. The sweet man that lives there gave permission to come visit it and explained that he himself had remade at his own expense all the fairly new headstones in honor of those buried there as they had originally been made of sandstone, which had crumbled or worn smooth.
There is a family story that this Elizabeth Leffler Grove Beery was a well known and successful midwife, who grew her own herbs and made many of her own medications.
