GROTTOES, Oct 28 - Mrs. Emma Goldie Harris, 81. widow of Edward A. Harris, died at her home here Wednesday at 11:45 a. m.
Born Dec 24, 1873, she was the daughter of the late Peter and. Amanda Marshall Sipe. She was a member of the Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church at Waynesboro.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Cora Via, Harriston; Mrs. Bessie Crawford and Mrs. Daisy Payne, both of Grottoes; Mrs. Myrtle Pate, Alberta; Mrs. Mamie Mobery, Charlottesville; and Mrs. Odell Creeter, Coravills, Pa: five sons, Charles, Manchester, Pa.; Paul, Roby, and Marvin, ail of Grottoes; and Lewis, Mount Fair; and one sister, Mrs. Maggie Harris, Staunton. Fifty-eight grandchildren and 84 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church Saturday afternoon at one o'clock. The Rev. Dargan Lucas of Waynesboro will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. H R. Lowman. Interment will be in the Edgewood Cemetery.
The body Is now at the L. M. Koontz Funeral Home In Weyers Cave where it will remain until four o'clock Friday afternoon at which time it will be taken to the Harris residence. Grandsons will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.
