DeFUNIAK SPRINGS LOSES A GOOD CITIZEN
In the death of John Cawthon, 61 years of age, who died at his home in West DeFuniak Sunday, this town loses a man who was a good citizen and a good neighbor.
Funeral services were held by Rev. W. T. Ellisor at the Steele church near Alaqua, interment following in the cemetery at that place.
Mr. Cawthon, who had charge of the DeFuniak gold course, during the time of that institutions's popularity, had been employed for some time on construction work at Eglin Field, suffering a paralytic stroke there some time ago. The cause of his death, however, was an attach of pneumonia, which brought his life to a sudden close.
Surviving members of the family are a widow, a daughter in Pensacola, and two sons, Dudley of Miami, and Dawson, located at the navy station in New York.
