She moved to Dallas about 1920 where she met Jimmy Green and married him on September 3, 1924. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) attending Mt. Auburn, Lakeview and Eastridge Park Churches. She was a Deaconess Emeritus at Eastridge Park.
She is survived by her Daughter and Son-In-Law, Joy & Robert Hellums of Wood County, Texas; Grandsons: James Hellums & wife Wanee, of Plano, Larry Hellums & wife Kym of Midland and Kim Hellums of Irving. Also Great Grandchildren: Ryan, Garrett, Jordan and Hope Hellums of Midland.
Family will receive friends Friday, April 4, 2003 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grove Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Carroll officiating.
