Funeral services for Mancel Mize, 10 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Mize of Morley, who died at Southeast Missouri Hospital Monday afternoon after an illness of less than a week, were held at Morley this afternoon.

Relatives from here who attended were the little boy's grandmother, Mrs. J W Swain, and his uncles and aunts, Mrs. Wesley Ulrich, Guy Swain, Mr. and Mrs. John Mize, Mrs. Monroe Evans, Guy Watson, and Clarence Mize. Miss Juanita Thornton also attended. The service was held in the Methodist Church, in charge of Rev. Craft of Morley. Burial was in the Morley Cemetery there.

Acute appendicitis was the cause of the boy's death. Although he became ill last Tuesday, his condition was not considered serious until Saturday, when he was brought to Southeast Missouri Hospital for an operation.

The boy is survived by his parents, his sisters, Miss Eva Mize and Miss Betty Mize, and his brothers, W B Watson and Nelson Mize, all of Morley. Miss Eva Mize, is a student nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
