A native of Antocoke, Pa., he was a son of John and Mrs. Mary Kimorowski Chetaitis and the husband of Mrs. Barbara Chetaitis.
He was a Catholic and was assigned to Headquarters, Saclant Fleet, Norfolk. He was a 19-year Navy veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Edward Vincent Chetaitis, and a daughter, Judy Ann Chetaitis, both of Norfolk; three brothers, John Chetaitis of Georgia, Leo Chetaitis of New Jersey, and Edward Chetaitis of Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Mrs. Margie Zimba and Mrs. Ruth Grodzick of Wanamie, Pa.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Simiele Funeral Home y Navy Chaplain Stewart. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
