She had an older sister, Annie Pearl, and an older brother, Willie Lee Jr., both whom preceded her in death. She has a younger brother, Leroy Alexander, who enjoys good health and lives in northern California.
Margaret was married twice. She married George Eulas Holton Jr. on 16 September 1945. They divorced in 14 Jun 1948. Ronald Wayne Holton, was born on 28 July 1946, in Macon, Georgia. By agreement of both parties, full custody of Ronald Wayne was given to the mother. Shortly after Wayne was born, Margaret moved from Georgia to southern California. Her son and mother, Mary Deriso, moved with her.
Margaret married Ernest Doyle Holliday on 24 November 1951 in Long Beach, California. In 1952 they purchased a home in Long Beach for $9,000.00. They lived in that house until both passed away. Born to them were two sons, Ernest Dan, born 13 January 1953, and Robert Doyle, born 16 April 1956.
On 21 May 1960, Margaret's sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Wesley Jackson, died together in an airplane crash in the mountains outside Los Angeles. On 24 October 1961, Ernie and Margaret adopted Anne's four children, Karen Obie, Wesley O'Neil Jr., Edward Massey and Dean Kelly.
