Mrs. Michael Dreger, 119 Hill street, died at the Community hospital Tuesday night where she was taken Sunday night following a severe illness with which she was stricken after returning from church Sunday morning. Mrs. Dreger, the daughter of Mrs. Charles Hacker, was born in Germany in 1883 and came to Ionia with her mother when a child of three. She was a member of the Lutheran church and the Lutheran ladies' aid society.

Her husband and nine children survive. The children are Mrs. Kurt Mathe, Mrs. Jacob Teichman, Carl Dreger, Mrs. Ray Kobel, Ann, Wilber, Herman, Ruth and William. The latter is but three years of age. She also left two brothers, Emil and Herman Hacker.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the home at 1:30 and at the German Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. The services will be conducted by Rev. B. H. Succop. The interment will be in the Highland Park Cemetery.

Cause of death- spinal meningitis (as reported by daughter Ruth, she came home from church with a terrible headache and died later that day)
