Lillian Edwina Perkins Vaughn, 99, of Green County, Ky., died on Friday, April 11, 2003, at Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg, Ky. Daughter of the late James Edward Perkins and Isabel Hazel Perkins, she was born on Aug. 14, 1903 in Green County and was a member of Greensburg Baptist Church. She was married to Ralph E. Vaughn on Sept. 12, 1922. He preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1956. Survivors include one daughter and one son, Margaret V. Greene of Louisville, Ky., and James A. "Buster" Vaughn of Greensburg; one half brother and half sister, Pete Perkins of Campbellsville, Ky., and Elizabeth Leftwich of Summersville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Tom Green and Vaughn Green, both of Florida, Margaret Green Leighty of New Jersey, Martha Allen Waugh of Louisville, Ky., and James Wood Weissinger of Pennsylvania; five great-grandchildren, Thomas C. Leighty and Stephanie Vaughn Leighty, both of New Jersey, and Michelle Richerdson, Jennifer Waugh and Rebecca Waugh, all of Louisville. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Weissinger in 1989; one brother, George Perkins; and one grandchild, Eddie Vaughn in 1969. Funeral was at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 14 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery. The Rev. Ferrell Gardner officiated. Pallbearers were Craig Leighty, Al Vaughn, William F. Taylor Sr., Wood Weissinger, Mickey Vaughn, Joe Tommy Hodges, Tom Green and Joe Jones.
