Suvila Belle Adams, 74, died Friday in Fort Bayard. Mrs. Adams had been a resident of Grant County for one year. She is survived by her husband, Wiley Adams of Silver City; a daughter, Bonnie Mae O'Neal of Pomona, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Daphna G. Gonzales of Santa Fe; two stepsons, Wiley O. Buck Adams of Silver City and Lynne R. Judah of Enterprise, Ala.; two sisters, Bonnie Faye Lott of Alamogordo, and Viola Saunders of Albuquerque; 10 grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Kasco in 1987 and Billie Jo Burgess in 1976. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Mancel Mortensen will officiate. Arrangements are with Wheeler Funeral Home of Silver City.
