Mr. Mamon Sam passed from this life Monday, June 27, 2005, at Memorial Heights Nursing Home in Idabel, Okla. He was born March 2, 1929. He was 76 years old.
Although Mr. Sam could not communicate verbally, he did so in his own special way. Those who loved him stated, "It was in his eyes and his beautiful smile."
Mr. Sam enjoyed fun times with those who cared for him in his final days on this earth. He had a jolly personality and would laugh when one of his hospice health aides would come into his room with a sheet over her head and say, "boo!"
Mr. Sam also had a special stuffed puppy friend with big red boxing gloves that always kept him company.
Those left to cherish his memory are Dr. Michael West and his staff; the staff at Tri-County Hospice, and the Memorial Heights Nursing Home staff.
Mr. Sam will be missed most of all by the nurses and aides who cared for him on a daily basis.
Services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Norwood chapel with burial in Denison Cemetery.
