They were married on June 4, 1943, in the Logan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Don died on January 26, 2004. Together they owned and operated the Barker Fruit and Dairy Farm in Willard.
She served in many church positions, including MIA secretary, Primary President, teacher, and In-service leader, Relief Society Counselor and visiting teacher.
DeNece loved her family, Utah Jazz, her grandchildren, The Game Show Network, her great- grandchildren, word search puzzles, her family and the life she and Don created on the "Family Centennial Farm!" Her grilled cheese sandwiches, peach shakes, cherry bites and Schwan's ice cream will be missed. Her homemade custards were always there for friends and family when experiencing hard times or illness. Her home was the gathering place for family on Sunday afternoons.
