Funeral services for Eli Pearson of Pyrmont were held at the Moore & Brown Funeral Home here at 2 p. m. on Sunday with the Rev. Ralph Petry officiating. Burial was in the Pyrmont cemetery.

Mr. Pearson, a retired construction worker, succumbed at his residence on Friday at the age of 77.

A native of Ockley, he had lived in the Pyrmont community for 40 years. He was born on March 11, 1883, the son of Robert and Laura Pearson. On Dec. 4, 1903, he was married to Blanche Allen, who survives.

Other survivors are two sons, Emmett of Pyrmont and Dale of Edwardsburg, Mich.; five daughters, Eva, at home, Mrs. Ruby Grugh, Mrs. Orpha Campbell and Mrs. Helen Lowery, all of Lafayette, and Mrs. Fern Metzger of Rossville route 1; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A sister and three brothers preceded him in death.
