Barbara M. Bartkus, 76, of Penn Township, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late Francis D. Sr. and Emma Anstead Doyle. She was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Harrison City. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William "Vince" Bartkus Sr. She is survived by her son, William Bartkus Jr. and wife, Valerie, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Barbara A. Baker and husband, Kenneth, of Claridge, and Kim Gebrosky and husband, Lee, of Greensburg; four grandchildren; a brother, Francis "Spike" Doyle Jr., of Delmont; two sisters, Noreen Shuster, of Greensburg, and Peggy Shaffer, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Harrison City. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export.
