Mrs. Jemima Prescott, wife of Louis Prescott, passed peacefully away this morning at Providence, RI where she had been visiting. She was born in Waterville, MA November 27, 1822, but was an old resident of Lawrence, coming here with her husband in 1845.
Mrs. Prescott was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church and will be remembered as kind, genial and motherly woman. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters and six sons, among them John E. Prescott, the Broadway wood and coal dealer.
At the request of the deceased, the funeral services will be strictly private. Friends are requested not to send flowers. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
