Chico Enterprise-Record, Sunday, May 26, 1991: "Alexander Locey-A private family graveside service for native Chicoan Alexander Crippen Locey, 86, will be held Wednesday in Glen Oaks Memorial Park.
"He died Saturday, May 25, 1991, in a local hospital.
"Locey was born Nov. 21, 1904, in Chico, and was raised in Butte County. He graduated from the Lincoln, Neb. School of Engineering, where he became a certified aviation mechanic. He returned to California and worked for the Pacific Fruit and Produce Co. in Chico.
"He married Corliss Plummer in 1928.
"During World War II he taught aircraft engine mechanics in Chico for the US. Army Air Corps. He later moved to Oregon with Pacific Fruit and Produce and returned to Chico with the same company, which later became Levy Zentner Produce.
"He retired in 1977.
"He is survived by his wife; a son, William of Battle Creek, Mich.; a daughter, Sally of San Francisco; three sisters, Natalie Smith of San Jose, Eleanor Ray of Durham and Connie Reynolds of Chico; and one grandchild.
"The Rev. Robert B. Scott, a retired Presbyterian minister, will officiate at the service.
"Contributions may be made to Enloe Hospital's cardiology department in care of Van Hook Funeral Chapel, which is handling the arrangements."
