Mrs. Dora A. Spurgeon, Warwick Road, widow of William Chase Spurgeon, died Wednesday evening at Woodland Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born in Delaware County, the daughter of Edwin and Matilda Rees Addison, and spent her entire life in this community.
Mrs. Spurgeon was a member of First United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her son, W.C. Spurgeon, Jr., R.R. 1, Yorktown; a daughter, Mrs. Lindley (Dorothy) Clark, Jr., Westfield, N.J.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held in Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m.m Saturday with Dr. Laurence Martin, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary an hour before the services. Memorials may be sent to Tri County Association for Hearing Impaired in care of Mrs. Mike Towell, 1307 Brentwood Lane, Muncie.
