PERRY - Serviced (sic) for Dorothy Collier Hardy, 82, who died January 5, 2001, were held January 8, 2001 at First Baptist church of Perry with the Dr. Gene Bowman officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
A native of Oglethorpe Co. she had resided in Perry for 60 years. After graduating from GSCW, she taught in the Vienna Schools and was retired from the Houston County School System. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 60 years. She was also the founder of teh Dot Hardy SS class. She was a member of the Muse's Book Club, Delphania Club, a former member of the Houston County Library Board and the Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society.
Survivors include sons, Alton Hardy Jr. of Macon, Sidney Hardy of Dublin, Jim Hardy of Thomasville and Charles Hardy of San Francisco, sisters, Virginia McNeal of Pulaski, VA and Mildred Porterfield of Colbert, GA; eight grandchildren.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
