Funeral Services will be on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton with the Rev. Timothy Lange officiating. Burial will be at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be on Monday one hour prior to services at the Wintz Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Harold Goeden, LeRoy Goeden, Merle Schieffer, Vernon Schieffer, Don Guenther, and Daryl Lammers.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Britni Ausdemore, Erica Townsley, Michael Ausdemore, and Katelin Ausdemore.
Josephine J. Ausdemore was born on March 6, 1921 in Menominee, Nebraska to William and Anna (Kuchta) Goeden. She attended school at Menominee. On June 13, 1951 she married Emil W. Ausdemore in Menominee. To this union four sons were born, Kenneth, Daniel, Dennis and Marlin. They lived on a farm eight miles northwest of Crofton. Josephine enjoyed raising a family, farm life, working part-time at M-Tron and Freeman's in Yankton. She also did volunteer work at Sacred Heart Hospital. Josephine loved taking trips to the Minnesota Twins baseball games, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Florida on a Caribbean Cruise. In 1982 Josephine moved to New Richmond, Wisconsin after living in Yankton and Crofton. At 89 years of age, she still drove her car and worked part-time at Arby's in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed working at fast food restaurants both in Sioux Falls and in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth and wife Pam Ausdemore of Sioux Falls, SD; Dan Ausdemore of Crofton, NE; Marlin and wife Leisa Ausdemore of Lincoln, NE; Grandchildren Britni Ausdemore, Erica Townsley, Michael Ausdemore, and Katelin Ausdemore; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Anna M. Ausdemore of Bloomfield, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emil in 2003; son Dennis in 1978; grandson Brandon in 2003, sister Helen Schieffer; brother John Goeden; brothers-in-law Leo and Melvin Ausdemore, Lawrence Schieffer; sisters-in-law Clara Haberer, Flavia Ausdemore, and Agatha Goeden.
