Marcus H. Schwartz, Sr., 91, of North Aurora, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2002 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital. He was born April 25, 1911 in Aurora.
Marcus was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a former officer of the Aurora Labor Temple, the local chapter of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Western Catholic Union. He was also a lifetime member of the Tiger Club.
Survivors include his wife, Rose B. (DeKing) Schwartz; six sons, Joseph (Patricia) Schwartz, Marcus (Dorothy) Schwartz, Jr., Richard Schwartz, James (Caroline McWethy) Schwartz, Michael Schwartz, Steven Schwartz; four daughters, Marcia Chouinard, Margo (Butch) Olson, Cheryl Walker, Eva (Barry) Benson; 28 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Frances Schwartz, Shirley Freeman and Jeanette (William) Day.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva (Freeman) Schwartz; Parents, J. Henry and Elizabeth (Spang) Schwartz; two sons, Peter (Pat) Schwartz, John Schwartz; two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 2, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. from THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY, to Blessed Sacrament Church at 12 p.m., Fr. Jerome L. Leake will officiate with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
