Oscar T. Utterback, son of Fielding and Sarah Utterback was born on September 18, 1850 in Johnson county, Indiana and departed this life March 15, 1939 at the age of 88 years, five months and 26 days, at his home in Earlham, Iowa.
He came to Mills county, Iowa, with his parents at the age of seven years. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Lona Rodman. To this union seven children were born, Mrs. Chas. Bush and Mrs. Ervin England of Wilmar, California; Mrs. Jesse Bane of Adel, Iowa; Mrs. Royal Compton and Mrs. John Golightly of Earlham. One daughter died in 1929 and a son in infancy.
He is survived by his wife, five daughters, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all his relatives.
(Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery)
