CUSHING
Ethel Bergren Cushing, daughter of August and Anna Bergren, was born July 9, 1887, at Omaha, Nebr., and departed this life Oct. 31, 1961, at the Yocom hospital where she was taken after a fall. She was 74 years, three months and 22 days of age.
On April 13, 1916, she was united in marriage to Frank Cushing. Mr. Cushing's work took him to several states and in January, 1948, they moved to a farm in the Bethel community where Mr. Cushing died in April, 1961. Since his death she had lived in nursing homes in Chariton.
Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Ella Benson, San Francisco; Mrs. Bessie Bitney, Los Angeles; and Mrs. Jennie Will, Culver City, Calif.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Mrs. Cushing was a member of the Russell Ladies Auxiliary. She had many friends in the Bethel community and will be greatly missed as a friend and neighbor.
Funeral services were held Nov. 2, at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home, the Rev. Virgil Shickell officiating. Interment was in the Calvary cemetery.
