Mrs. Flora Belle Nelson, 79 years, widow of J. Alfred Nelson, died Thursday, May 21, 1959, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ivan Morris of Waynesburg R.D. 2. She was a daughter of Newton J. and Anna Chess Headley, and was born September 2, 1879 at Sugar Grove. She had been a resident of Richhill Township most of her life, but had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Merle Morris, for the past nine years. She was a member of the Washington Street Methodist Church, Surviving, besides Mrs. Morris, are two other daughters, Letha, wife of Raymond Kappes of Waynesburg, and Annabelle, wife of Richard Semancik of Eastlake, Ohio; one son, Jacob Nelson of Waynesburg R.D. 1; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and two brothers, A. P. Headlee of Moundsville, W. Va., and Oscar Headlee of Graysville R.D. 1. One granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters are deceased.
