Beverly Zweigle 82 of Harvey died Friday July 8, 2011 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd of New Rockford.
Funeral services will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Harvey on Monday July 11, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Sunday July 10, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.
Beverly was born March 28, 1929 at Harvey, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Gussa and Glee (McElvain) Hoots. Beverly grew up and attended school near Hurdsfield and graduated from Hurdsfield High School.
She married Chester Zweigle on August 24, 1947 at Harvey. They lived and farmed in the Harvey area. In 1960 they purchased a farm east of Martin. Chester died on July 28, 1996. Beverly lived on the farm until entering the St. Aloisius Nursing of Harvey on May 2008. She then moved to the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford in November of 2009. Beverly was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Harvey where she served as treasurer; Sabbath school teacher and superintendent. She was a Band Mother and 4-H Leader. She was a member of Christian women's and a 55 year member of area Homemaker Clubs.
Beverly is survived by two daughters, Ardyce (Daryl) Snyder of New Rockford, Margo (Gerald) Spear of Drake; sons, Daryl (Sharon) Zweigle of Walker, Iowa, Myron Zweigle of Harvey; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Arlys Schmidt of Fessenden, Cheryl Sayler of Bismarck; brother, Neale Hoots of Killdeer, ND. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband Chester; brother, Elden Hoots.
