Fred attended Creighton University where he studied law graduating in 1935 with a Bachelor of Laws degree. While attending Creighton he participated in the following activities: Chi Delta; Phalanx; Delta Theta Phi, President; Delta Sigma Rho; Pasteur Club; French Club; Oratorical Society; Oratorical Contest Finals; Varsity Debate; ROTC Advanced Corps.
When the 1940 census was taken Fred was living at home with his mother and was listed as practicing law in private practice. He was found in Omaha directories in the practice of law through 1948.
When WWII broke out Fred joined the army. Unfortunately at some point he had a mental break down and was discharged in 1943. He went back to the practice of law, but at some point after 1948 he had some type of break down and was institutionalized for many years. Toward the end of his life he was released to a half way house where he remained until his death. He never married and after his death my mother and her brother-in-law Wilbur Wilhelm petitioned the U.S. army to have a headstone placed on Fred's grave. He was buried beside his mother Verne Stockdale Wolfe, his uncle Wilmot Baughn, and his aunt Naomi Stockdale Baughn.
Fred's father Wilbur was born Sept. 10, 1880 in Ontario, Canada. Wilbur was buried with his parents, a brother, a sister, and his siblings spouses in Ontario.
